Photo #1 - the background "chunks" are from a close-up of galvanized steel shot by a UHH buddy and loaned to me for use as a texture layer. The light in background is a street lamp, though we can pretend it's the full moon

Thanks for viewing!

Nice, Linda. Your title couldn’t be more appropriate, I think.

I like all three of these a lot but the first is my favorite. I like the composition and the background. The shot tells a story of a nighttime snowfall, probably the first of the season since there are still flowers. The snow and ice are cold but there is a warmth to the colors and the "moon"! I need a cup of hot chocolate!

Thank you, Carol! Love your commentary. I am sipping a variation of hot chocolate right now: a cup of strong brewed coffee to which I've added warm milk and a few melted Ghirardelli chocolate chips

Thank you very kindly, Sue! MinnieV turned me onto textures last year. I've had a lot of fun with them, and finally printed a couple of photos that included, curious about how they'd translate from monitor to paper. I was delighted with the results

Sort of like a Starbucks mocha latte, but a lot cheaper

All beautiful, Linda.
No. 2 really gets me - poor little rose crying over his own death.

An wonderful set Linda! Winter has a gentle but harsh way of taking over. Bookmarked.
