Thanks for the nice comments. Iceland in general is expensive especially going out for dinner / hotel / rental car and of course gasoline. (things can get really expensive in high-season)I try to go right before or after high -season what helps a lot and you have less crowds. Talked to a couple from California and they where debating between a small camper or a small car and use hotels.
They opted for a small car with hotel. I normally get a small camper (really small) but good enough for up to 2 people. Get your food at the grocery store and cook your own food. Thank the cost is pretty low. On photo tours I am normally by myself and hotels don't work for me because I shoot either very early or very late in the day. Hope this helps.
