Excellent work. Pittsburgh never looked so inviting while I was living there in the early to mid 70's. Is that shot from Mt. Washington?

Thanks, it sure has changed since I last lived there too. These were from the West End Overlook.

Isn't Pittsburg the city of 3 rivers? And is there a 4th river underground? My dad worked for Allegheny Ludlum, after AL bought Wallingford Steel in Wallingford, CT. (We didn't move to Pittsburg, but we visited there). The Opera House/Theater is very ornate and beautiful.

Looks a lot different since I lived there in the late 50s early 60s. Steel was king then.

Yes it is, and there is a fourth river underground. I believe the water from the fountain on the point comes from it. We had well water where we lived and I was always told that our well tapped into the river and thats why we never had water issues.

I remember my grandmother sweeping black soot from her porch in Emsworth (5 miles from Downtown) in the early '50's. It's a wonder we don't all have lung problems from living in that area back then!
