While driving up in the mountains, I had pulled over to take some photos of the clearing fog over the town below when this Clark's Nutcraker landed near me curious as to what I was doing and probably looking for a snack. Such friendly birds. It was my first time seeing one.

Thank you - glad you enjoyed them! I make my own suet cakes - it saves a lot of money, plus I know what is in them. I melt the suet in a crock pot on the back porch since the odor is rather nasty.
