Thank you, Janos. I find that when I shoot red flowers, I have to set the EV compensation to (-) 0.7, or even (-) 1.0, otherwise the details tend to blow out.

Oh, I'm glad to know someone else does that! I was working on flowers one day and simply kept changing settings on the reds until I got something that seemed to work!

Thanks, Kathy. I think that reducing the EV (underexposing a tad) is a fairly common practice when photographing red flowers (& white birds, too).
