Photoshop Elements 2018

Not familiar with it, I use Picasa 3 free editing software. Do very little editing, one thing I can't do with Picasa is remove items. Photoshop Elements 2018 and Photoshop Premiere 2018 are sold separately but I don't know which one I need to do basic editing like removing unflattering marks and removing an object completely. Thank you

Photoshop Elements is for editing and cataloging still photos. The premier edition includes a program for video editing.

Photoshop Elements (for pictures) and Premiere Elements (for video) are different programs. You can buy them in a bundle or buy them separately. If you don't do video, buy Photoshop Elements separately.

I currently use 15 and have decided to wait for next upgrade rather than 2018 as not a lot of changes and those they have put in are reportedly not working to great and are easily done in other ways.

Premiere is mainly for video editing. Elements will handle RAW & JPEG editing needs.

Save yourself some money, unless money is no object, and buy an older version of Photoshop Elements on Ebay as it will do these tasks. You can also download a trial version of the latest PSE, good for 30 days, to see if you like it.

Premiere Elements is not just for video.
It can make complex slide shows with no video clips in them at all. It will even do it with RAW images adjusted in Lightroom by reading the XMP files. Slideshow output can be in 4K to match the new TV standards.

Like most Adobe programs the the Photoshop Elements programs are not 'intuitive', but if you have any Editing experience the learning curve isn't too steep, and I think all the PSE's from 14 and higher will do what you ask easily.
