New York Daily News Monday, April 23, 2012:

"WASHINGTON — The number of Mexican immigrants living illegally in the U.S. has dropped significantly for the first time in decades, a dramatic shift as many illegal workers, already in the U.S. and seeing few job opportunities, return to Mexico.

An analysis of census data from the U.S. and Mexican governments details the movement to and from Mexico, a nation accounting for nearly 60 percent of the illegal immigrants in the U.S."

Wasington Post, September 1, 2010

"A deep recession and tougher border enforcement have led to a sharp decline in the number of immigrants entering the United States illegally in the past five years, contributing to the first significant reversal in the growth of their numbers in two decades, according to a new report by the Pew Hispanic Center.

The number of illegal immigrants entering the United States plunged by almost two-thirds between 2005 and 2009, a dramatic shift after years of growth in the population, according to the report."

MSNBC.com:

"Despite an increase in Border Patrol agents, apprehensions of illegal immigrants at the U.S.-Mexico border have dropped sharply - from 1 million in 2005 to 286,000 in 2011, a sign that fewer illegal immigrants are trying to enter."

You are out of your mind. The story came from the Associated Press and was run by nearly all media across the country. The New York Times also carried it in a story written by Julia Preston, MArch 10, 2012:

"PHOENIX — The impact of steep declines in the number of migrants illegally crossing the border with Mexico in recent years has rippled across Arizona and other border states, with federal and local law enforcement seeing big drops in crime related to illegal immigration."

Is this also a source less credible than whatever you are reading? Would you like to see more references? Would you like to reconsider who is stupid? Would you like to admit who has egg all over his face?

Apparently the only thing that flies in your camp is whatever you want it to be. In order to preserve the appearance of integrity you have rejected even the stories in the New York Times. If the material in question were an editorial opinion, your stance may or may not have validity, but it referred to a matter of fact. Ergo, you are pretending that all the media decided to invent some fiction, which is so false that referring to it makes me dumb as a rock.

Guess what, Mr. Smarter than I/a rock; even Fixed News carried the story. You can reference it at

One of the biggest area of increase illegal immigrants is from people intering the country on a work permit. Most of them are from India. They speak english fluently, and are usually well educated. The US offers a much better life for them and there families then India does, so they stay here to work very high paying jobs. They are willing to work for less, and they are so well educated it's often overlooked that they have not renewed there visa.

There are many area's of which a person comes to the US and becomes an I.I.. I know of people from England, South Africa, Isreal, etc. etc. who have become I.I. Everyone knows that all you need to do is have a baby in the US and you can usually stay.

There has been no increase in illegal immigrants living in the US from Mexico over the past several years starting with 2007. Mainly because of economic contiditions in the US are not as good and improved conditions in Mexico.

The following is from the Goverment, and gives information which was obtained during the W. years thru 2011. So please don't make comments about it being doctored by the current administration.

Food for thought...

His full Name is: Willard Mitt Romney
He was Born: March 12,1947
and is 65 years old.

His Father: George W. Romney,
former Governor of the State of Michigan

He was raised in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan

He is married to Ann Romney since 1969;
they five children.

Education:
B.A. from Brigham Young University,

J.D. and M.B.A. from Harvard University

Religion:
Mormon -
The Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-Day Saints

Working Background:

After high school, he spent 30 months in France as a Mormon missionary.

After going to both Harvard Business School and Harvard Law School simultaneously, he passed the Michigan bar exam, but never worked as an attorney.

In 1984, he co-founded Bain Capital a private equity investment firm, one of the largest such firms in the United States .

In 1994, he ran for Senator of Massachusetts and lost to Ted Kennedy.

He was President and CEO of the 2002 Winter Olympic Games.

In 2002, he was elected Governor of the State of Massachusetts where he eliminated a 1.5 billion deficit.

Some Interesting Facts about Romney:

Bain Capital, starting with one small office supply store in Massachusetts, turned it into Staples; now over 2,000 stores employing 90,000 people.

Bain Capital also worked to perform the same kinds of business miracles again and again, with companies like Domino's, Sealy, Brookstone, Weather Channel, Burger King, Warner Music Group, Dollarama, Home Depot Supply, and many others.

He was an unpaid volunteer campaign worker for his dad's gubernatorial campaign 1 year.

He was an unpaid intern in his dad's governor's office for eight years.

He was an unpaid bishop and state president of his church for ten years.

He was an unpaid President of the Salt Lake Olympic Committee for three years.

He took no salary and was the unpaid Governor of Massachusetts for four years.

He gave his entire inheritance from his father to charity.

Mitt Romney is one of the wealthiest "self-made men" in our country but has given more back to its citizens in terms of money, service and time than most men.

In 2011 Mitt Romney gave over $4 million to charity, almost 19% of his income.... Just for comparison purposes, Obama gave 1% and Joe Biden gave $300 or .0013%.

Mitt Romney is Trustworthy:

He will show us his birth certificate

He will show us his high school and college transcripts.

He will show us his social security card.

He will show us his law degree.

He will show us his draft notice.

He will show us his medical records.

He will show us his income tax records.

He will show us he has nothing to hide.

Mitt Romney's background, experience and trustworthiness show him to be a
great leader and an excellent citizen for President of the United States.

You may think that Romney may not be the best representative the Republicans could have selected.
At least I know what religion he is, and that he won't desecrate the flag, bow down to foreign powers, or practice fiscal irresponsibility.
I know he has the ability to turn this financial debacle that the current regime has gotten us into.
We won't like all the things necessary to recover from this debt, but someone with Romney's background can do it.
But, on the minus side, He never was a "Community Organizer", never took drugs or smoked pot, never got drunk, did not associate with communists or terrorists, nor did he attend a church whose pastor called for God to damn the US.
You should know the difference between the men running for America's top office.

In addition to knowing little, you have no integrity. Having been exposed as you were, you should have crafted as short and dignified a retreat as possible, but instead you still persist as if you had the upper hand. You remind me of a beaten street fighter who continued to talk trash even as he was crawling on the ground half conscious.

I find it most humorous that you should try to obfuscate what transpired on these exchanges by invoking the ritual butchery of sweet Sarah Palin by that monolithic, we must assume, liberal media. This has nothing to do with the subject at hand, which was a simple matter of whether or not immigration has dropped under Obama.

And now, it is time to burst your little bubble about the liberal media. It is all owned by ultra right wing corporations like Disney, Viacom, General Electric, and people like Ruppert Murdoch. It is the commentators of this very media who invented the fiction that the media is liberal. That way they can label as "liberal" anything that even vaguely attempts to expose the corrupt right wing revolving door between business and government, as well as swing your judgment to the far right even as you have been brainwashed into thinking you are a centrist.

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, this is the person who declared that I am dumb as a rock. I rest my case.

My God Pnagy... wake up and smell the media. It stinks. Union organizations will always vote for the Dems as they love to take other peoples money to pay those who which to work less. Can you say "Unions"?. While your prose is eloquent, your arguments lack a sophisticated point of reasonability. Perhaps you should abandon Webster's and think, and write, more like the American who is being screwed by this Obamanation.

You wake up, sir. As I pointed out before, the media is owned by right wing corporations and people. Do they have savvy enough to be ultra rich, but so inept that they allow some lowly reporters to impose their contrary editorial ideas over the owners? IN the case of Fixed News Roger Ailes issues policies on even the language that is to be used to assure the right effect.

Thanks for the back-handed compliment wrapped in a sweeping insult, but the particular issue being discussed was the veracity of the media's report that illegal immigration to the US was down under Obama. A major source of that estimate cannot be disputed. Although the border is far more militarized now than ever before, far fewer illegals are bing apprehended trying to enter because they have given up.

As to the Democrat/Republican debate, I stay on its periphery. There is difference, but not as much as you think. It is easy to see when you research who bankrolls the major politicians. Obama's number one corporate contributor was Goldman Sachs, which belies the charge that Obama is a liberal or a socialist. A major right wing corporation would cut off such a creature.

The charge that Obama is liberal is an invention of the opposition party. It is used purely to influence electoral politics, but has no real use in understanding Obama. In fact, since they serve mostly the same corporate paymasters, politicians of both parties end up supporting much the same policies. That is why I call them the Republicrats.

Technically he does believe in certain things you do not, so you are calling him "as dumb as a rock".

Based off of what I have read in the above comments, he clearly is the more eloquent writer and appears to be very well educated to me. So, I do think he is capable of reading, mainly because he writes so well......not to be nit picky but usually you have to be able to read to write.

Which I feel is the problem here, people read what they want to read, hear what they want to hear, and often ignore things that are contrary to thier beliefs.

We can all learn from each other, everyone's point of view is important.

No person is wrong and every person is right....., in otherwords, it's all just a differences in opinion, experiences and beliefs. Being understanding of that will make you a better person, and one more person who is understanding is one more person who makes this a better world to live in.

Left field is far, far behind him. I cannot believe you wrote those words, just when I was beginning to feel you had some good points. Again, wake up and smell the socialist. Yeah, the real news or Fixed News. Try this one: the number of deportations is at a record high. Of course you can still pretend it is not happening, because it was not accomplished by a Republican president. Douglas S. I believe the operative words are "Net migration" ie: if we ship 1000 illegals back and 1000 new illegals sneak in you arrive at a NET ZERO. Thats real smart governing.
