I remember buying 2X4's with a finished size of 1 3/4 X 2 3/4in the late 60's and into the early 70's

A lot of things were made better in the past.

Speaking of fiddles, I have been told that the difference between a violin and a fiddle is that a violin has strings and a fiddle has strangs. Is that true?

I'm lucky we have 4 quality hardwood lumber suppliers close to home, they all stock curly maple and other nice furniture and tonewoods. Lotsa tropical and other exotics too.
Can't seem to find any walnut or cherry burl though.

Ever been to Charlotte, Mi. to the L.L. Johnson lumber store? I’m about 45 miles from there and make it on occasion. Nice selection of Woods.

All the time, nice place, tons of choices.
And only ten minutes away.

Nah! A violin is carried in a case, a fiddle is carried in a gunny sack!

Hey texcaster, if you know how to play that fiddle, why don't you do an audio for us.

The difference between a fiddle and a violin is about $10,000.

I can play other fiddles as well but I'm saving up my youtube fiddle debut until I can fake about 1/4 of what these blokes can do. lol
