Camera: 5DS
Lens: 24mm 1.4 II L
Recently we took a quick week long photo trip out to Northern Arizona taking in the Grand Canyon's South & North Rim along with an even quicker side trip out to Monument Valley.
Have not yet completed processing most of the files - But currently favor the submitted as at least for the time being as "the favorite shot". The Canon 5DS can produce some very large files the "current favorite" is on the small size at 60.4mb --- Have a few coming in as high as 84.8mb's. To get the photo from my PC to whatever your using I reduced the image by almost 90% down to 6.62mb's --- I'm hoping that if you open it up you can still see some of the fine detail a full size 50mp sensor coupled with a darn good lens can achieve
Beautiful shot, Ken -- nice job!
It would be a good idea to chose a size in pixels before worrying about MBs. This image (very nice!) is 2688 pixels wide. For anyone viewing it on a smaller monitor it is being compressed. Therefore you lose detail.
Looking forward to seeing more from your trip.

Beautiful image Ken and love it in download.
Thanks for the kind words -- A few weeks ago there was the usual ongoing discussion --- Whats more important "The gear or the photographer" -- The point I'm attempting to make here is that:
If your not blessed - as I am for sure not blessed - with all those special artistic abilities that make some folks truly great photographers but do eventually acquire the basics as I finally have done (for the most part) of photography then often all you really need for a fine looking photo (nothing award winning here) is that basic knowledge, great gear & a great location -
Then try to remember ---
Don't stand in the way, press the damn button & let your gear & all that modern software do all the rest!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Beautiful! Well done, Ken!
Wonderful detail. Thanks for sharing with the relevant info.
