I feel your pain but I have found just the opposite on Ebay. I have a rating of 870 and have sold over 500 items on ebay. I have had 2 bad experiences out of those 870 but both problems were resolved through the ebay process.

Try KEH, world's largest used camera store. I usually get the best prices, and when buying used gear, I can buy with confidence. Their stuff is top notch.

Put it on eBay. It WILL sell there. But to be honest with you I've always had luck selling on Craigslist. Sometimes they sell fast, sometimes slow.. If your price is too high then it might not sell especially if there a a lot of other choices on CL that are less money. You need to price accordingly. On eBay, let them bid it up. You'll get fair market value, but eBay and PayPal get their cuts which amounts to about 12% and you have to ship it. You can put a price on shipping but be reasonable. eBay shoppers are stupid.

Its easy to sell on eBay and it will get you way more money, than trying to sell through B&H, Adorama, or KEH!

I have used ebay for years and never had a problem. I bought a Sigma 105mm macro from Roberts a few months ago for 400.00. decided I needed more reach so I bought a Tamron 180mm macro. sold the Sigma for 475.00 to a private buyer. Roberts sells a lot thru ebay.

Go to: mpb.com. They have hundreds of used cameras and lenses, you can buy or trade for what you want. I have a lens arriving today.

Photographers-on-the-net website (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/)(POTN) has a good classified for sell section. Primarily a Canon site, there are quite a few Nikon ads posted as well. There is also a Want to Buy section, so you can list your DX lenses for sale and post desired FX lenses in the Buy section.

I have sold four-five L lenses there with good success.

Try B&H, KEH, Adorama, or here on UHH......Used lenses won't get you much......there are tons of them out there. If the ones mentioned don't offer you enough, then undercut people on ebay...
