Well, then, clearly, MW ... your laundry machines (and, perhaps, your laundress, too) are all perfect ....

But, I hate to tell you this ... but stuff does move around in those machines ...

Particularly true ... if you're a pet-owner ....

If not, then - quite possibly ... you are well-relieved ...

You know why so many here don't get along with you? You just wear them down with these relentless unsupported and silly arguments. For your sake I hope you're different when dealing with people in the real world.

I suspect - with that silly statement - you've proven you are far too insensitive to ever have been a - pet-owner ....

But, that's your misfortune ....

I pity you ...

If so, do you use the kind that goes around the lens, or the kind that's attached to a strap lug on your body? ...

If you don't use either kind ... what do you DO with your cap, when you're shooting?

I pocket the cover until I am done shooting. And any pocket will do. If whatever is in my pockets can damage the cover, the cover goes into the camera bag.

I leave a cap on the lens when it's home, but when I'm shooting, the cap's in my pocket. With a lens shade and clear filter in place, I'm not concerned about dirt. It's a good idea to make sure the cap isn't carrying pocket lint to your lens.

Exactly what I do. All of my T-shirts now have the pocket on them, and quite frankly I don't care how bad it looks.

Not sure if I've ever seen anyone use the method I use. I cut a small piece of velcro tape and sewed one side to my camera strap and the other side to the lens cap. When I remove the cap from the camera I just stick it to the strap. Has worked well for several years. Never lost a cap yet. Dan

I take both lens caps put them together and pit the in the lens bag. Always keep Zeiss lens cleaners and a micro cloth to clean the lens.

|Deep pocket, or throw it in the bag. There's a few spare there anyway. Have a look around when I leave to make sure I'm not about to lose one.

I use a tethered cap. I also adjust my camera strap so that there is a loop at one end that is just big enough to hold the cap. When I am shooting, I squeeze the cap into the camera strap to avoid it flopping around. Not an elegant solution, but it works most of the time.

Tether mine to the strap lug. Haven't lost one yet and it hanging off the camera hasn't been an inconvenience.

I've thought in the past that I wanted a tether. But I think the dangling would drive me crazy unless I take the advice of ways to secure it as has been suggested here. I am notorious for losing lens caps. Normally I put it in a pocket, but if I don't have pockets I lay it somewhere and forget where. A common question in my house is, "Have you seen a lens cap?" Recently I lost a cap for 2 weeks. Found it in a sweater pocket I hadn't worn in that long. Found another on a table on my patio. I need a way to keep track of them....or maybe just a better sense of responsibility....

never tether. don't like things flapping around

In a pocket with a closed flap. I also have a sandwich Baggie in that pocket to keep the lint to a minimum.
