I have been using CS5 for about a year, about a week ago a lost the window that gives all the image info. The window that I am talking about is the one that pops up when you open a image file and it gives you all the important info. Would anybody know how I could get it back? Thanks

I am not sure what "important info" you mean, but if you click on Window you can scroll down and click on what you want showing on your desktop.

I was looking for the window that gives you the file name, size, date, ect.

Thanks for the info, but I didn't find what I was looking for.

If you go to the top of bridge..task bar includes file, edit, view, stacks etc..click on Window..and go down to workspace..and reset workspace..that should bring back your metadata area etc.

Is Photoshop CS3 similar to Photoshop CS5? What are the differences. Thanks!

Believe you are talking about the navigator window. Go to the windows menu at the top and click on the feature you want to appear in the side panels, such as layers, histogram etc.

Thank you Carl. I have the Photoshop CS3 program. My workbook is for the Photoshop CS5. Do I need to upgrade to Photoshop CS5? Just learning here. Beginner!

CS3 is very similar to CS5, I upgraded from CS3 to get the Lens Correction (specific to each lens) and Fill/ content aware features of CS5, as I do a lot of architectural photography. Otherwise I was very happy with CS3.

If the upgrade price doesn't break the bank, it is always good to have the latest greatest version. Both versions are very similar I have gone from cs3 to cs4 and now cs5 extended. Great and powerful software.

This is not a recent topic but I found this link while doing a search on Canon RAW it may be of interest:

CS5 for dummies (like me) in an electronic form.

The first link (above is a DL)
The second link is the integral text (VERY DRY to read)

Does your camera have a menu button. If you press it there should be a Shooting Display button you could press and Information Display or something like that should appear. Try that or better still, check the owners manual.
