I also have a dominate left eye. I use the LCD screen as much as possible . I have made my living for over 60 years in Imaging almost always with an upside down image. Great for composition. Over this past year I have had an intermittent bit of double vision when driving. I am 82 and right when you think you know everything something new is learned. I had a major eye exam and now have a Lenticular sticker on the right Eye Lens.. That has corrected the problem completely. I now use both eyes looking at the LCD screen.

Your mind's eye is the only one matters. Previsualize, grasshopper.

Both eyes open. Have you ever fired a rifle ? It has to be with both eyes open.

I am right eye dominate, with left eye always closed. Part of my problem is I am near-sighted in my Left Eye and Far-sighted in my Right Eye.

Usually keep the other eye open to keep an idea of what's going on out of the frame

Im left eye dominant and close my right. I get too distracted with both eyes open and the LED is no good outdoors. But I'm trying to train my right eye because I'm tired of my face being in the way of the buttons.

Ditto for me. LCD for me is to review afterward.

I normally use my left eye at the viewfinder (right eye closed) because I see colors better with it. If I am tracking something erratic like a hummingbird, I use my right eye at the viewfinder and use the left eye to aid in tracking. And both eyes when using a tripod 😉!

When photographing, I use my dominant eye: that is my left eye, to look through the viewfinder. My right eye, is also kept open even though it is covered by the camera body. I have no issues of any kind reading the information flashed on the viewfinder as well as the scenery. However, when I try to use the dominant left eye only, I find my self wasting too much time observing the data around the viewfinder plus the intended scene. In many ways I feel as if I were blind. Indeed, I prefer both eyes open. My question is how other photographers feel about their method of looking through the viewfinder? Thank you.
When photographing, I use my dominant eye: that is... (show quote)

It makes no difference as long as you use what works for you!

As the view finder is on the camera left, it is natural for me, a left hander. I am unable to blink my left eye, only the right eye. So no awkwardness for me.

Well I'll tell you.....I shoot a lot of semi-pro football and hockey action. I keep both eyes open and believe it or not this has saved me from getting run over during the football game. In hockey it helps when the players are coming over the boards into their bench and leaving too. The players get tunnel vision when getting on and off the ice and using both eyes when shooting is a good thing for me. So I guess it is up to whoever is shooting. I can see it as a good tool when going around the streets and shooting the action of the masses coming and going. You can see movement with the eye that is not focusing your pic.
