Welcome! Looking forward to your posts and pictures. Happy shooting!
i do not consider myself as a photographer. I enjoy photography however I have just learned a few things by trial and error. Novice would know more than I would I am sure so with that said I just keep shooting and hope for the best. I dont seem to understand alot on this camera so I am hoping to learn more as time goes by. I am from Mobile Alabama originally and I learned quite alot on an excursion to Dauphin Island that I made. I will try to post a few of those pictures. would be interested in finding out part of what I am doing incorrectly so that I can perhaps get a more shots that are of better quality.
I am called Madambutterfly because of the love for them I have. They are beautiful and a significance to me as well. I try to capture a photo every chance I get of them and have not mastered getting them in flight. most people who really know me understand my love for the Butterflys.
Thamks to all of you for the wonderful welcome.
MadamButterfly, we have a live butterfly exhibit from May till about now at the Tucson Botanical Garden. I have used my I Phone in slow motion and have gotten some great images. They are in a confined environment that is temperatures controlled for them. You might consider getting a copy of Brian Peterson’s book - Understanding Exposure that will explain the basics of shutter speed, aperture settings, ISO (in the old days this was film speed). There is more in the book, but start out there and take picture galore. Post some of your best shots.
Welcome to the forum. Paula.
