I did listen to it and nothing surprises me when it comes to allowing China making our stuff. But we need to blame the unions in this country for that. If they didnt demand and get huge bonuses for the upper men while the workers get outrageous salaries to boot, we would not be in this situation.

I have bought things made of steel made in China. The steel there is not a good quality and would hate to buy a car made there now. But as long as these US union men demand and get huge bonuses and salaries for themselves and their men, it will continue and the public is the one who will suffer in the long run.

It's not just the cars, its many many products that are made in China is of poor quality. But as long as Obama is President, the Unions will always back him.

Years ago... we bought the biggest Mercury Marque msp... with a heavy duty axels.... costing $3,000 now that same car would cost 45,000 or more. Why???? Cause of the unions.

This friend of mine belonged to the union here, and every time they got a raise, groceries, clothes, cars, etc went up. I told him, what good does it do a person to get a raise, when everything else goes up along with it. He couldn't answer that. You are defeating the purpose of the raise. You are accomplishing nothing other than BRAGGING rights in saying how much money you make. That was back around 1962 maybe... not sure.

The unions at one time were worth their weight in gold... not so any more.

Any president who would make a video urging African Americans to vote for him is a racist. Can you imagine the uproar if Mitt Romney produced a video urging white Americans to vote for him? What in the hell is Obama's agenda, and where is his humility? The answer is he has hubris, not humility, not to mention a problem with race.

As I said many times before he was ever elected... he was not 'dry behind the ears'...... meaning he's still a baby... he doesn't and didn't have the wisdom it takes to be President of an 'outhouse' much less of the USA. It's so sad... people can't see this.. but they are diehard democrats and would vote for him if he just escaped from prison. I hope all who voted for him, regrets it for years to come.

He sells a good speech... he sells himself even better. But all those speeches were written for him... He's not smart enough to write them on his own. Even the book Dream From My Father was written by Bill Ayers... yet he took claim of it for himself. He wanted to be somebody so badly, that he would lie his way to the top.

Just listening to him.. every thing and every body is Bush's fault. He takes no blame for anything... and if Romney is elected he will be too much of a gentleman to say it's Obama's fault. Only one with a child's mind like Obama, says such things. The most sad part is all his followers believe everything that comes out of his mouth. Apparently they dont have any brains left that function.

Even though the democrats had a majority they could not pass the legislation... I am sick of the old tired progressive argument that all the racists fled the democratic party and became republicans.... that is utter BS. Just because the republican party does not pander to race, and just because they have a problem with the modern democratic plantation does not mean that they are racist, rather it means that they can recognize failure and seek a better path for tomorrow.

Just what have the democrats done to improve life in our urban areas and inner cities where they have the power, where they control government? How are they improving lives? The biggest solution that I have seen them try to implement is to insure that planned parenthood and abortion clinics are readily available and accessible in low income areas... Some solution!

With the exception of Women getting the vote; that was done by the 66th Congress while the House and the Senate was Republican controlled, the Acts you list were indeed passed by Democrats.

Developed in the late 19th century classical liberalism is a political ideology that advocates limited government, constitutionalism, rule of law, due process, individual liberties including freedom of religion, speech, press, assembly, and free markets. The Democrats of old, up to JFK, would have fit that definition. Do we remember the famous JFK speech “Ask not what your country can do for you. Ask what you can do for your Country.” Ring a bell?

Sometime since JFK the parties have switched roles. The conservatives, not an official party any longer, now fit the definition of classical liberals. What we refer to today as liberals, most people link that word to Democrats, are in fact the definition of socialists.

Definition of SOCIALISM according to Merriam-Webster
1: any of various economic and political theories advocating collective or governmental ownership and administration of the means of production and distribution of goods
2: a system of society or group living in which there is no private property b: a system or condition of society in which the means of production are owned and controlled by the state

I admit I make the mistake of referring to Democrats as liberals and for that I apologize to the real liberals among us.
