I sometimes wonder who came up with this style for grooming a dog. It's distinct, that's for sure.

I have to admit--I've never wondered about that.

And is the comb-over on the snout to cover a bald spot?

This is just perfectly done, Bob; I've never seen an airedale with such striking coloration.

Thank you Rob. You've probably never seen this color at in an Airdale because I misidentified the dog in the first place. It's a Scottish Terrier, not an Airdale. My apologies to everyone.

You are correct--the look is distinctive, and not natural; and the look probably has a purpose.

Thank you, Sirius. Quite a well-trimmed beard on that one.

OK, so now youI've got me curious Kmgw. I'm going to see if I can ferret out why a dog might have such a square-cut beard.

I bet the dog didn't. The way some of the show dogs are groomed is a sin. I feel sorry for every toy and small poodle and all the long haired dogs. I've never thought dogs should be made for OUR glorification.

Great shot, by the way, as have been all your dog shots.
