Glad to have you on UHH. A lot can be done to enhance your granddaughter's photo in post production. However, your may just do a retake in different locations. Keep your subject further away from the background, which should cause the background to blur out. Keep Rick2236 suggestion on getting all of you subject in the picture. Happy shooting to you.
Thank you for your input and your warm welcome. I am proud to be a 'hog' now! About that picture..it was actually a candid shot. I didn't have time to pose her, just saw her standing by that tree and thought she looked cute, so I snapped the shot. You know how kids are, they don't sit still too long, so I took it without even thinking about camera settings!
Thank you for the kind welcome, I am so happy to be here.
As I told rich2236, this was a candid shot, and didn't have time to focus or worry about camera setting. But thanks to you and all the other suggestions, I think (hope) I'll do better next time!
Thank you, it is my great pleasure to be one of the 'hogs' now!
I've followed this site for awhile, and I know it will help me greatly in my new photo adventures!
Thank you, I love your quote! So good to be here!
Thank you for the welcome, I love your quote! OOps, looks like I posted this twice. Bear with me, I'll try to learn to navigate this site yet!
Thank you Teri! It's great to be aboard, and I know I will learn a
great deal from all of you.
Thank you, it is truly my pleasure to be here!
[quote=rainforest24]Welcome to the HOG Terri. When you want us to check out a photo it is best to check the "store original" box next to your download. This will allow your camera specs to be looked at. David in Florida

If you use Window 7 you can right click on the picture, click property, click detail. This will show date, time, Camera model, ISO, F stop, shutter speed. This can help to use again if it right, or change if needed. David
Thank you, but I have an Apple desk top, and love it. Any thoughts on how to do that on my beloved Apple?
Welcome to the UHH
Thank you! It would seem you're a dog/pet lover too? Do you have any advice for taking great pet (dog, horse) photos?
