Landscape Project Completed..... Finally :)
looks like you guys make a great team! It is gorgeous
now crack a beer or open a bottle of wine, put your feet up and enjoy!
Great job, I assume you will fill in the bare spots, with maybe annuals? To all those out there who think they couldn't possibly landscape themselves…I say you can. It's a matter of understanding the cold hardiness of each plant, its mature height/color/texture and other characteristics then design on paper where you may want to put what, kinda like decorating a room (you can have several 'rooms' outside). Think of it in photographic terms-balance, composing, etc.
Beware, however, Big Box Stores often sell plants that may not be suitable to your area, especially cold-hardiness for perennials. As they say-Read The Label!

My hats off to all of you gardeners out there. That is something I'm not. My wife is the gardener in this house. I am her assistant. lol Over two years ago we started landscaping
our front and back yards. One thing I learned is that I'm not as young as I think I am. But that's OK. The boss is happy so I am happy. She says we are completed. But I know
better. Gardeners are never completed. Here is a peek of what we have been doing the past several months.
No wonder your back hurts! Beautifully done!!
It looks beautiful. It does look like you had it done professionally. You both did a lot of very good work.
My wife would love 😘😘😘😘 you guys. Very very nice 👍

She has spoiled me for many years. It was her turn to be spoiled. Thank you for the nice comment. We have been kicking back and enjoying the fruits of our labor. She with her
wine and me with my beer. lol

Thank you. I can bet money the empty spots will be filled. We had our (retirement dream) house built a little over two years ago. We down sized the yards compared to our old
house. But put a lot more thought into this one. Every plant, tree shrub, hanging basket and potted plant has a drip. We also installed path and accent lighting. We also laid
300' of stone pathways and two staircases made of basalt flat rock. Fourteen steps in all. To your point, most anybody can do this. It just takes time, patience and a strong
back. It is funny that you mentioned several rooms. That is exactly what we did. We have her raised garden area. Then there is the pergola area. Our entertaining/patio area
and the grand-kids play area. Allof our plants came from local nurseries. The majority came from one nursery. We marked out the beds in paint and told the nursery what we
had in mind. They brought a large truck load of various plants and shrubs. Then we picked out, placed and replaced different plants until we got the look we liked. The nursery
called it visual landscaping. What a great idea. We could actually see the landscape come together opposed to seeing it on paper.

Thank you. I have family in your home state. Arizona/desert landscape has a beauty of its own. I have seen some really fun yards while visiting.
