I just picked up a used Canon 20D over the weekend. I plan on using it as a starter camera. It came with 3 Canon lens (ef 50mm 1:1.8 II, ef 38-80mm 1:4-5.6 III, ef-s 18-55mm 1:3.5-5.6 is II) 3 batteries, a charger, a Lowepro backpack style bag. I paid $200 dollars for everything. After getting home and charging up a battery, the camera works fine. I did find that the base of the 18-55mm lens was cracked and was seperating from the lens housing. I will probably buy another 18-55mm lens.
Locally I found someone that has a Canon EOS Rebel Ti (35mm film) camera, with a Canon Zoom lens EF 28-90mm 1:4-5.6 II and a camera bag for $50 dollars. Would this lens work on my Canon 20D camera? Click on the link for a picture of the lens. I would have a silver lens on my black 20D.

I have read that the 38-80mm lens is not really a good lens. I would use the 28-90 lens to replace the 38-80mm lens and then just buy another 18-55mm lens.
Or would the 28-90mm lens replace both the 18-55 and the 38-80mm lens? Thanks Ken
Would this be a good deal for a lens or should I pass on it? Thanks Ken
