A few more pictures from the Balloon Fiesta still underway in Albuquerque.
Excellent set Bnewmk,i especially like the first one with the Moon in the background.
My how times have changed the balloon technology. Here are a few scanned slides (have not tried to clean em up, sorry for the dust) from around 1980 of a mass liftoff. This was when they were still starting in a field at I25 and San Mateo. We lived in Academy Acres, just on the other side of I25. Many times balloons would go directly over our house; attempting to land in a park two blocks away. Its a great time of year to be in New Mexico; warm days, cool nights, and the aspen are usually golden up on Santa Fe mountain.

Thanks for the comments and I like your pictures.Times and balloon technology have indeed changed quite a bit along with more rigid safety requirements. Also, there are probably 3 times as many balloons or more.

The shot with the moon is nice, but Smokey is tops in my book. I did enjoy them all.
