In photo 2 it looks like the stream disappears before the bottom of the mountain. Where does it go?

It gets to the river at the bottom of the valley, I forgot what the name of the river

It continues to flow north out of the park, through Montana and on to North Dakota and into the Missouri River.

Yes! We hit some snow closures at Dunraven Pass and the east entrance area and Craig Pass, but Lamar Valley is our favorite area and it was good to us. We did manage to catch up with RRS and his wife in the Swan Lake Flats area, so that was a good time! Our highlight was hiking the southern end of the Specimen Ridge Trail with it's spectacular views. We were on the ridge overlooking the Bannock Ford Crossing and across the Yellowstone River from the Hanging Cliff near Tower. We probably won't be doing that again...getting too old!
