My wife and I spent a weekend at Heceta Head Lighthouse. The assistant lighthouse keepers house was turned into a B & B. Can't say enough good about the weekend. The proprietors of the lighthouse are a husband and wife who are both certified executive chefs. Every day they serve a different 7 course meal. Breakfast took over an hour to eat. It was worth every minute. There were either five or six rooms to pick from at varying prices. The Korgan's (Mike and Carol) have a interesting history. He was a DJ at a R and R radio station in the 50's or 60's. Later he and his wife bought and ran a restaurant in Portland, Oregon. Sold the the restaurant and took over running the B & B several years ago.
The photos are of two different lighthouses. Yaquina Head Lighthouse, Heceta Head Lighthouse and its B & B and some photos of the nearby area. Down loading is suggested.

Wow! Your photos practically come with salt spray and wind-in-the-hair. Very, very nice.

Beautiful images!!!!
Thank you so. :) When I enjoy something as I enjoy the coast it seems I try just a little bit harder to express what I saw and felt at the time. The crashing waves as an example. So powerful. Less than 100 yards from the big surf was the isolated beach. Quiet and relaxing. A different photo opportunity around every corner. Can't think of a better place than the beach to spend my time.
Thanks and have a great day!

I am a native of Oregon and spent many summers in those very areas, so I know the lighthouses well. In fact, we visited Yaquina Head LH in April this year. Love the photos you shared.
