It rained---so I HAD to stop for this shot.
Good thing my camera brought along its rain coat yesterday. It was raining, but i had to stop for this shot anyway.
Thanks for looking.

Fine looking close up with light contrast.
I always wonder how much damage rain can do to a digital camera?

My Nikon D800 series cameras can take a pretty good rain. I've shot football games, soccer games, and last summer a magnificent bull elk all in heavy rain. I usually put a raincoat on the camera and lens, but depending o the amount of rain, not always. The bodies (says Nikon) are weather sealed and the lens handles the rain pretty well (a lens hood is a must).
Note: DO NOT ZOOM if you have a zoom lens and no raincoat. When you return to dry conditions, do not rub camera dry--blot it dry. I've been doing this for years and never had a problem. Recently a friend dropped his D800 in a stream picked it up, blotted it dry and kept shooting. Buying high end cameras pays off.

A very fine arrangement of spaces, together with the delightful exposure of the rain on the flowers. In a word I wish I had done this.
Thanks RBorud

Thank you for looking and commenting. The idea just struck me as a spur of the moment composition.
Think I could have done a better job. With more time. :-)

Thanks RBorud. The idea just struck me when I saw the flower (The background is my raincoat). Get out and give it a try---sunflowers are everywhere. :-)
