Are there any Minolta 35mm film die-hards out in the world aside from me? I have a small collection of these babies and found through time and beaucoup rolls, that even having added simple digital Canons, I want to jump back into my true love. All of my "Minoltas are Minolta, not Konica Minolta, though I did use up a couple of Konicas "back-in-the-day". I am currently searching the web for the winder/drives. Any suggestions?

I'm looking for a Rokkor 58mm 1.4f MC lens , selling one ? Mine was dropped from 30 feet onto a concrete slab . It didn't survive !
The SRT-101 is one fine camera , and Kodak Ecktachrome returns in a few weeks 😃
My Rokkor 58 f1.4 MC may be had. Haven't used it in years. Make reasonable offer.

I'm not a die hard but I do have a couple of Minolta SLR's and I like them. I'm a film shooter so anything like this is interesting to me.

one of my best friends back in the mid 80's was Lief Ericksenn. He was a photographer and writer for Popular Photography. He had a Minolta. I can't remember the model (it was top of the line). He took some stunning shots with it.
Today is Leif Erikson Day for the guy who really discovered America (not Columbus). Perhaps your old friend Leif (pronounced Life) was related?
Wikipedia: Leif Erikson Day is an annual American observance which occurs on October 9.[1] It honors Leif Erikson (Old Norse: Leifr Eiríksson, Icelandic: Leifur Eiríksson, Norwegian: Leiv Eiriksson), the Norse explorer who led the first Europeans thought to have set foot in continental North America[2][3][4] (Greenland excluded).

No, I no longer shoot FILM. I have found my creative juices bleed Digital, I can do more for less and enjoy digital much more than film. However, I still long for my favorite Minolta, I owned one in the day, you probably have it in your collection. Here it is:
https://cameraquest.com/leicacl.htm
I never stopped shooting film, so I have an array of 35mm cameras. Two of which are Minolta's, the Maxxum 7 and Maxxum 70.
My understanding is that Konica ran into financial problems and therefore partnered with Minolta.
Minolta then ran into financial trouble and was bought out by Sony.
Someone recently gave me five Konica lenses. I bought an adaptor and can now use
those lenses on my Nikon bodies.

Leif did not discover America. Yes he got there before Columbus, but he most decidedly did not discover it.
I have always been a Nikon user. But I always liked the older Minolta film bodies and lenses. A close friend just enrolled in a beginners B/W Photography course at the local college, so I gave her two Minolta X-370 bodies, a couple of lenses and a few filters. She is loving them.

I only have the 58mm f/1.2
That's a great lens . That extra light @1.2f also means you have a very expensive piece of glass there . The 1.4f can be bought for $100.00 and under . The 1.2f if in excellent condition can get you around $450.00 . I've seen them higher too . MINOLTA built lenses for LEICA with their glass . That says something ..
Anyone here selling a Rokkor 58mm 1.4f ? I'll make you an offer . Thank you .

I grew up lusting for an Exakta camera and Schneider lenses. I finally realized my dream, only to discover that my new Exakta was a film scratcher and that nothing could correct this issue. I consoled my broken heart with a Rollei 2.8D. At least it sported a Schneider lens.
Clock ahead a few years - I discovered the Minolta SR-2 camera and fell in love. Later, I used 101. 102, 201 and 202 cameras. Today I own Sony A series digitals, except for one Nikon and I use an adapter to let me get my older Minolta lenses in action.
I have a SRT 102 with 50mm f/1.7, 24mm f/2.8, and 135mm f/2.8 with leather-type case, Rokkor lenses, all sharp. Also have Vivitar 70-210mm f/2.8-f/4.0 zoom, and Vivitar 2800 auto thyristor flash. Great camera, takes sharp photos.
