Ha. There you go, I knew an imbecile like you would raise his ugly head in the beginning of this thread. Have you always been stupid or did you work at getting that way?

If you were not such an incredible imbecile and such an immature fool you would know that the only "stupid" question is the one NOT asked. Crawl back under your rock lizard.
Oh Lord, where to begin? Actually since FlingingTigger obviously has a reading comprehension problem, it's probably not worth it, but for others, here goes.
There ARE such things as stupid questions and the premise of this thread is the poster child for such. Let's examine it.
The title says "Are Metal Detectors Next For High End Hotels Nationally?"
The Mandalay Bay is NOT a high end hotel, so why is the OP purposefully ignoring the hotel from which the mass shooting occurred?
Beyond the immediate non-sequitur of the title, the OP obviously has never been to hotels, especially in Las Vegas where access is available from everywhere.
I would like to know how the hotel is able to go through my luggage when I take it with me to my room. Also, if only high end hotels, the ones who insist on taking the luggage to your room, are the ones who go through your luggage and have metal detectors, how is that going to stop anything in the future? This would be like checking the people in first class and letting people in coach come in unhindered.
Also, I travel by car to shooting competitions around the continent. You can be certain that I do not leave my multi kilobuck match rifle, which is worth more than your car, in my SUV. It comes in with me, along with the backup rifle. I also bring in my spotting scope and tripod and that's just during the trip, which can take up to three days. At my destination, I bring in EVERYTHING, including ammo. And I don't stay at your preferred brand, Motel 6.
I would think that more attention would be directed towards high-rise hotels near venues such as the one in Vegas. There are still many unanswered questions about this evil deed and if the authorities were smart they would study this closely and be tight-lipped about what they are doing.
