But, respectfully, you're not Adorama. I'm not in the market, but I think your starting asking price is too high.

This is a pretty fair going price (if you check ebay and the condition of the lenses being sold...)
I'm not in the market either but L lenses DO sell for ALMOST what new L lenses sell for...that's just the way the market is....

I looked on Ebay for used buy it now, all around 900.00 or higher, so that is where I started.

Exactly. That's why L lenses are a good bargain...they hold their value well.
And when someone buys this from you....they won't lose a whole lotta money either.

That is a fair price for a like new lens. Even though he is not Adorama he can supply a copy of the receipt and the Canon warranty can be used by the buyer. If I did not have this lens already I would consider it without hesitation.

Joan: I have this lens and love it. It is tack sharp and has great contrast like all canon L series lens have. I use the lens on a 7d and a 5D MarkII. I hope this helps in your decision making process.
