We have a Balloon and Sky Fest here in May. A few years ago when the winds were just right, the balloons took off at Sunrise. I was in my home when I heard giggling from outside. I went out to see what was going on and as I looked up, I saw a couple of balloons. They were going over my yard, and the giggling was from the passengers on the balloon ride. They may have been first timers. They were sure having a good time though. I have been up in a balloon once and it was a very memorable experience. At the time, I didn't have a camera, and I regret it to this day. Next time that won't happen.

Hey Jan, I've been to a few sunrise launches and I strongly encourage being there with a camera if you can find another to attend. For me, I've only been there with a camera but never up in a balloon ... well, yet.

Tikva - thank you for your comments! I came away with a few "full balloon" images. But, they were all tethered due to the wind conditions and didn't fit for the selection used here. Great observation, I hadn't even noticed.
