You don't need to have money. That's why you have fundraisers and gather support!
I guarantee you Tramp never put in a penny of his own. That's NOT how he operates, and you KNOW that.
Start gathering your support. Start locally and network. If you're worth your salt, your constituency will move you along. It doesn't happen overnight!!!

I am a gun owner/user. Rongnogno asks what am I afraid of. I am afraid of coyotes killing my calves and/or foals. I posted a sign saying "no coyotes". It didn't work. I yelled at them to stay out. That didn't work either. I shot one and put his head on a fence post. That worked.

I am afraid of someone coming on the ranch and helping themselves to my livelihood.

I am afraid for the life and wellbeing of my wife.

Rongnogno said "The argument that guns don't kill, people do is flawed." It is not flawed. I challenge you to show one case when a gun shot someone without the help of a person.

If you really believe that people who own guns are "fools, idiots, morons, and criminals" then why do you attack them so vehemently. You are either a brave warrior or you must have balls like basketballs.

You say. "The question is: Is there a need to hunt? The answer today is a definite NO." Wrong, Rong! See above.

I follow the law and you don't like it so you attack me. Smooth move exlax.

You are totally correct in your post. As ex law enforcement/retired corrections Lieutenant I support your thinking 100%. There are millions of firearms in America but generally l less than two percent are ever used in criminal activity. I am all for laws that will stop the criminal use of firearms. But the problem is that every gun control law targets only the law abiding citizens. Criminals, by definition, do not obey the law. I have had convicted felons, male and female, tell me to pass all the laws you want. They will not obey them.

Now bump fire stocks are in the spotlight because the Las Vegas shooter used them on his guns. I am guessing thousands have been sold and one man used them to kill people and now Liberals like Hillary want to get rid of them, make them illegal. That is like someone driving a Ford truck running over twenty five people and then outlawing Ford trucks. The Las Vegas shooter had explosives. He might have dropped bombs on the concert goers. Then what? More laws against explosives?

Remember, you can’t regulate against crazy.

I think that most reasonable people would see a gun as a necessary tool on a ranch. However, you would be able to still do everything you need to do with your gun if it was registered. I also believe gun owners should be required to keep track of their guns. Bad guys get guns because good guys don't keep track of them.

thom what good would it do to register a firearm? Give me some reasons why you think it would stop criminals from using firearms.

I do follow the law. All my guns are registered and kept safely. I bought all my guns from reputable stores. Thus I had to fill out the proper forms including background check. I took the License To Carry class and passed both the written and shooting tests. I am legal.

While you filled out the yellow 4473 form when purchasing your firearms they are not necessarily registered with a police agency unless you personally chose to register them. The store is not allowed, by federal law, to give information on the 4473 form to law enforcement.

Personally I recommend not registering firearms unless your jurisdiction makes it mandatory.

So Dennis, if there were NO guns at all, how many would be used in the act of committing a crime???

Easy answer of course but let’s stretch it out to include claw hammers, automobiles, baseball bats Xander knives used to commit murder. When I was in law enforcement all of these things and more were used to commit murder. When I got into corrections and personally got to know quite a few convicted felons the list grew to poison, drowning, two hatchets and setting the victim on fire.

It is easy to say outlaw firearms bit seemingly hard to remember there are millions upon millions of firearms that were not used in a crime today. Out of maybe 100 firearms I own and twice that by my brother, none have been used in a crime ever. I have owned one gun owned by a bank robber (not used in s crime) and two used in suicides.

Of course if there were no firearms as you say; but there are firearms aren’t there. Most of them by far are used in perfectly legal exploits every day by honest citizens for hunting, self protection from humans as well as animals, target shooting etc.

And you believe criminals will turn in their firearms if Congress passes a bill to turn in all firearms? You’re a special kind of stupid, Sperm Swallower. No wonder you clean urinals at Berkeley.

I stand corrected. I assumed the store sent that info to ATF.

Of course I couldn’t list everything. In reality almost anything can be used in some way to commit a murder. It is nice for society that about 98% of us have no desire to commit murder. But leave it up to the Liberal Democrats to regulate those 98% that don’t need it. It is a fact that you cannot regulate or plan for crazy people.

Common sense will not work for Liberals. They want to do something if only for feel good legislation. They want to be able to tell their constituents that even though this legislation probably will not save lives, it is a start and we can feel good having done something. When that doesn’t work, and it won’t, they will tell us we need more anti gun legislation.

Nobody has yet been able to give a law that would have saved lives in the Las Vegas shooting or any other mass shooting. The Las Vegas shooter broke no laws until he started shooting.

I agree with what you say here and in previous posts. The reason I mentioned the pen is because it's a common item that most carry and never thought of it as a weapon.
