Now the DXO Mark score is out and its the ONLY DSLR ever to achieve a score of 100!
Gotta admit, that's pretty impressive. Now, can I really hold-off until after the Xmas holidays to buy one?
But can it make coffee? After all it's the photographer, not the camera ... yada, yada, yada.
Very impressive camera. Although I don't think I'm in the market for a new camera, Christmas is coming.
Thanks for the links.

9 of the top 10 but the comparison posted only includes Nikon and Canon DSLRs.
I'm a long time Nikon user but even I have a hard time believing that
Canon 's first entry is like position 17.
And after all the testing and charts and graph that DXO, and all the other so called experts publish, the bottom line is the final product, the images taken with the cameras. All the high accolades and amazing numbers are great for the pixel peepers and the my dog is better than your dog crowd but realistically, does it really, really matter?! The D850 is a great camera. It was designed to be a great camera. But how much of its advanced technology is really geared towards marketing?! I know I'm not about to go and sell my 5DSR or my 5DIV and buy a D850. If I had the spare money in my budget I'd get one because it looks like a really fun camera to learn, but I don't see me owning one in the near future. I guess all my Nikkor lenses and Nikon mount lenses will have to settle for my D7200 and D500, and my Canon's don't care what position they occupy on some chart, as long as I continue to use then and they continue to work.

If everyone who isn't going to buy one would post about why not, we could probably break another record ... the longest UHH thread in history. But most of those who don't want one will probably just ignore this thread. So much insight will be lost, as well as a chance at a record.

Those Sony sensor's must really be good

Yep I saw that earlier today. I made a bet with myself that you would be the first to report it. It is quite an accomplishment and from everything I've read about the D850 it may be the best all around full frame camera by a fair margin. Besides great images its one the most feature rich cameras available. The only thing that might improve it would be a Nikon version of Canon's dual pixel Live view.
