I have a Canon 9500 Mk II and Pixma i7220 and have had no problems finding Canon inks locally (Indianapolis).

I've been using refillable and single use cartridges from https://www.ccs-digital.com ink for my Epsons for 3 years. I would assume (there's THAT word, again!) his inks for Canon would be equally good. Absolutely no problems. The owner, Izzy, is knowledgeable, honest, and reliable. Also, there is a considerable amount of additional ink/printer related information on his site. A monthly newsletter is informative and chatty.

I second 2 options. 1) I'm using successfully Precision Color inks in my Pro-100. Once you have 2 sets of empties and the refill kit it becomes easy and very cost defection. Precision Color puts lots of research into making their inks extremely compatible. They also provide free ICC profiles.

The other is buying directly from Canon. Makes no sense to buy anywhere else because of the Free Paper you get. Some people maximize their free paper by buying their inks 2 colors at a time. I bought a full set of Canon inks from eBay at a savings of $22 over anywhere else. I realized too late all of the free paper I could have received if I had bought from Canon instead. Paper is not cheap.

I too have had some problems finding genuine Canon ink for my Ix6520 Canon printer. I prefer to use the genuine canon ink rather than third-party as the quality of the print is much better . However as everyone has probably noticed, you can purchase the printer relatively inexpensively but the cost of the ink will drain your pockets .

I've been buying all my Canon CLI-8 inks from B&H and if the order is over $49.00 (I make sure it is) free shipping and no tax outside of NY. Delivery here to the Maryland Easton Shore is generally second day, often the next day. I ordered two Blacks & one Cyan on 9/7 and got them on 9/9.

To add to the above, I just noticed that the Cyan cartridge is not a CLI-8, but rather a CLI-42C, and there is no mention on the package that it is for a PIXMA PRO 9000 Mk II. I'll call B&H today and ask if it is correct or some packer just grabbed the first Cyan ink he saw.

I'll post the response.

I order my ink for my Canon 9000 and Pro 100 from B+H. Good price for original Canon products.

So it is $16.29 at B&H and $12.99 at Atlex. How is that a "good price"? (I made a mistake the CLI-8 Cyan -- not the pictured Photo Cyan -- is actually $17.00 at B&H.)

Except for the electronic chip the CLI-8 & 42 are the same cartridge. That "C" just stands for Cyan.
If you haven't put that cartridge in the printer yet you can contact them and maybe return it. If you put it in and are having problems or you really need to replace the Cyan just remove the chip from the empty CLI-8 and put it in the place of the chip on the CLI-42. If you don't know how to do that look here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lhVwVY0fWlw

^^^ Correct the chips are different I highly doubt a CLI-42 which is. Pro 100 cart will work in you Pro-9000 without swapping the chip. If your not in a hurry I'd just contact B&H. They may even send the correct one and let you send back the wrong one in the meantime.

I didn't know about Atlex. B+H is cheaper than Canon or Staples. Thanks.
