We have probably the toughest gun laws in the country in Chiraq, including automatic weapons, and we have as many shootings as Kandahar!

The real issue is having the balls to ENFORCE the existing laws.

Yeah, let's get the politicians on top of this and get some more gun laws on the books. The ones we have don't seem to be working so the only answer is we need more laws and regulations then I'm sure everyone even the psycho's with a bent mind will follow them. I'm sure more laws and regulations would have precluded the Las Vegas shooter from doing his deed. It's logical right, more is better. If he didn't have all those guns maybe he could have used a bomb instead?

With the utmost respect, It's amazing the amount of people who are full of reasons it won't work.
All the hypothetical reasons about motor vehicles, kitchen knives etc, such negative reasons.
I'd bet that those who support the negative, are gun owners who "Over my dead body" will they take my gun!!!
What pathetic excuses, would they really die for their ownership of guns????
If we're into "What ifs" how about one or more of their loved ones in that firing line.???
It makes me sick to hear all these negatives, what about some one with balls come up with some positives.

Defend against what? A sick government??? Well if ever there was a sick disfunctional government, now is a good time to think about it. But who in the country takes the first step.
No one, because they're mostly tarred with the same brush.
That reason from back in the year dot, is so outdated for modern times, the believers in it haven't developed an intelligence out of that era. It seems you're at war with each other, no trust in your fellow man.

The government shouldn't be there to rescue you from it, it should be there to prevent it happening in the first place.
