I set my Canon 7d to live view and got a message stating that "the image cannot be magnified on live view." This happened on several attempts. I've used live view on many occasions with this camera; don't understand what happened. Was in aperture priority mode using a 100-400mm lens. Any suggestions?

Quick Google search came up with:
You cannot use Continuous AF with magnified view.
I can't confirm as I don't shoot Canon.

Maybe you were looking at an image from a video (that is common that you can not magnify them)!
