My eyes deceive me! I look at the sun and it is round. I look at the moon and it is round. I look at the moon in its phases and it is arched on one side and the shadow of the earth on the moon is in a concave shape. I look at the other planets and they are round and their moons are round. Yes, the Earth is round, just not perfectly round. I suggest that you look up the word in your preferred dictionary, or I can provide you with as link.

Sounds like a waste of money to me but then again some people will do anything to try to make a name for themselves. My next question would be is the moon round? Or is it like a coin that has been turned on it's edge? Maybe that is why we never see the other side of the moon? But then again it would still be considered round but not a sphere.
