Would you explain pixel pitch to me please?quote=Indrajeet Singh]The pixel pitch is the same as the D500, I don't expect any different in image quality outside of low light and hi ISO images because of the Back Lit Sensor. The advantage that I see is the Focus Stacking for Macro and Landscapes. The ability to scan my old film negatives and digitize them also is something I am looking forward to doing. In fact, in good light conditions, I don't expect it will equal the images I get from my D7200.

Waiting to check these issues out. Will post some results when I have them.[/quote]

My experience with scanners is that many can exactly digitize film. The problem is that most also exactly digitize all defects.

There is stacks of information on Pixels, sensors, pixel pitch etc. on the net, here is one such example, which explains it quite well.

Did you buy it in India? Didn't realize it was already available there. Enjoy and look forward to seeing your pictures.

Anand

Hi Anand, yes, I bought mine in India, its was released here about a week after it was in the USA. Probably cheaper than it is in the USA, The listed selling price is around USD 3,920/-, that includes 28% GST. Discounts are also available and one could buy for it around US$ 3300/-, brand new from a Nikon retailer with 2 year warranty.
