Have never seen one up that close. Does that qualify as a macro? Probably not with a 300 mm lens. Nice.

My apologies folks. My friend just informed me that the reflection was hers, as I was kneeling in front of her about 3 ft and was pretty much at ground level lol.
Still, her reflection is there, I guess I am in the black somewhere. maybe next time :)

Thanks to all for the comments. tried to shoot this morning, got to the coffee shop where I start my day and the stars that were out an hour before had turned to clouds. Since Irma my room mate forced me to become a 21st century man by buying me a cell phone. so I was able to check the radar and see rain was on the way and save myself a long drive :)

Nice capture, but I would never get that close. Those guys can move really fast.

yes they can move quite fast, but I am pretty keen on when they are getting fidgety. the younger ones, like that one will avoid people like the plague.
The BIG mama's we have there, and I am talking 11 ft, have no fear of anything. Those I stay about 150 ft from at all times lol
