I'd like to see some settings published for these enviable pieces, of which I find no.3 best.

This is the setting I used to get #3. Other two were the same except for lower ev.
I know 30 sec exposure is pretty risky, but I guess it worked fine in this case if you don't look at the stars too closely... ;-)
Later on my computer I've had to make the whole thing little bit lighter, blow up highlights all the way and lower color saturation and contrast little bit so the grain isn't so obvious. Adjusting warmth slightly down to the cooler side made it look more natural too.
I'm always open to any suggestions or advice.

Stacking is not required to take amazing shots of the milky way though. With practice, single images will produce amazing results.
