Can someone tell me what the rioters want?

I don't even think they know what they want. We seem to have drifted into a society comprised of people who are just angry about everything. Whatever the problems are, instead of looking for viable solutions and putting energy into putting those solutions into effect, just get angry. If that doesn't solve the issue, get angrier.

Do you know what solution they are looking for? I read that they wanted the city leaders to step down. Does that mean do away with city government or allow the mob to take control of city government?

I imagine that if the state executed Stockly, that would make the rioters happy but it wouldn't do much for the court system.

I honestly don't know what they want.

That's easy. The rioters want fairness in the judicial system. They want an end to the systemic prejudice that has been proven to exist in the law enforcement organizations in that region.

It seems that fairness is whatever they say it is. They can destroy a store because it is there. Is that fairness?

Not if you are the shop keeper. But maybe if you are the mother of an unarmed black man shot by police and the cop either isn't charged or is found innocent. I wouldn't want to see verdicts based on how the judge or jury thinks the crowds will react, but something has to be done. I don't approve of rioting and looting can't be justified in my opinion, but they shouldn't just have to accept it either.

Are you saying that an alternative to the legal system is lynching. Isn't that KKK justice of the past.

The violence is indefensible. Equal protection under the law should be an absolute. However, the systemic practices of the law enforcement organizations in the region have not followed such guidelines. The shop owners are entitled to justice as are those that continue to be victims of the corrupt system. The two should be seen as equal under the law.

If that's what I'm saying, kindly point out where I said it.

Throughout MOST of the United States. However, one could define the systemic practices of the law enforcement of that region as a form of non-lethal lynching.

The cop was acquitted. The rioters won't accept the system.

It is the system that is corrupt.

Proven to exist? Really? Provide that proof.

Your typical cowardly and ambivalent and stupid response.
