First shown in 1914, this Italian outdoor theatre has expanded from its simple original fountains to the now 750 jets that create the rainbow curtain of water the is seen today. They just reopened the show on May 27th of this year after an extensive and expensive upgrading of the fountains.
It's even more spectacular at night. I've been a member there for several years and have been going there since I was a child. I'm really hoping we have an unusually warm autumn and early winter here so they will operate the fountains at night during the Christmas season.
By the way, the original fountains were added to the Sylvan gardens in 1927 and the outdoor theater in 1928.
It is quite a place to visit, isn't it marsdad! I've only been there twice and not recently, but it's always beautiful! Good images!
Beautiful photos. Looks like an excellent place to visit. Too bad I didn't know about this place with I lived in NJ about 70 miles from Philly.
