I just bought a p900 and Everytime I change batteries all my settings are lost and I have to put in the date and time all over again. Has anybody else had this problem? Do I need to send it back for repair?
Thank you

Do you leave the battery out very long?

Is the camera new or used? What about the batteries? If they are worn out, try a new battery and see how it does.

If you bought it from a reliable dealer, I would return/exchange it. It's not supposed to lose the settings when you change the battery.

My P900 has never done that.

An educated guess would be that the camera, like many others, has a separate battery for maintaining those settings. Many do. It might not be user-fixable, though. It would be a "coin" type battery (guess).

Make sure you have batteries marked Nikon.. Some have a suffix such as infolithuim. THey are designed to keep information.. The 2nd source batteries may work the camera but not the information.

Don't think Nikon makes a P700 but they do make a B700.
