My eyes, head and leg hurt all the time Obama was in office.
But, he was in focus to me while in office.
Now there's Trump and I feel better.

There is a safe place here. It is called "The Attic."

At times this the Attic.

Well, well. Do I detect an NYC snowflake? Competition and striving make for great results. Safe spaces and micro-aggression worries make dependent, ineffectual snowflakes. To quote Harry Truman: "if you don't like the heat, stay out of the kitchen."

A friend of mine shoots with a Nikon D610 and a D750 and has noticed a problem with the focus when she uses auto ISO. The ISO is only in the 200 to 640 range so there should not be a noise problem and she would recognize noise. Taking the same shot manually setting ISO does not seem to have a focu problem. I realize I do not know all of the particulars so my question is simply, "Has anyone noticed a focus problem when using auto ISO?"

I'm surprised no one mentioned Auto ISO can also affect the aperture in shutter priority mode. If the aperture is opened all the way because of low light, that can create very shallow DOF depending on the lens. That could also make the picture look out of focus.

Stupid little man. You made an assumption about me. When you make ASSumptions, you inherit the first three letters of the word. It suits you. Stick to your sheep and you will be ok.

The aperture is open all the way during focusing. It's just that "all the way" may not be enough, especially with variable maximum aperture zoom lenses.

So which one of you is behaving like an adult? Do you both think this is the Attic?

Ah, a disturbed NYC snowflake. It is fascinating to note you guys melting at the very slightest provocation. Tell me, did you vote for deBlasio, are you a global warming believer, do you know that the First Amendment is only for speech snowflakes approve of? These are keystones of NYC snowflakes world views.

Don't forget a melted snowflake is a drip.

As for my relations with sheep, it is none of your business!

Not familiar, yet supposedly the person was able to set a range for ISO which would mean it SHOULD be familiar with said functions. Keep pampering and finding apologies for this pervasive dumbness here. This pathological political correctness is getting more and more out of hand around here. Wonder why there are so many MEDIOCRE images in the gallery?.....here is your answer. Congrats on contributing to it.

And dont start with the argument about people coming here to learn. BS. Hardly they come to do so. They seek the usual shallow praise and ata boys you and the usual bandwagon loves to give.

Why do you come here? What do you seek? Or better yet, enlighten us, why should we be coming here? According to you. You can write a mission statement and everyone that doesn't adhere to it or rise to it's standards could be expelled! But oh, wait a minute, that would just leave you!

THIS is something the moderators here should consider.

Someone starts a legitimate thread asking a question about photography, only to have it high-jacked by malcontented trolls and immature people with SERIOUS personality disorders... consequently and subsequently REPELLING people who come here to learn and exchange ideas.

Maybe this anti-social behavior boosts traffic and increases revenue. Probably not though. ESPECIALLY if folk leave and don't come back.

I think it is best to ignore him. This is just what he does.

You know, you have a point. I am done with this thread. And I will probably take a few days off from UHH. Talk to you next time.

Thank you for a reasonable response. I was trying to simply ask if anyone had ever seen a similar problem, I guess I was not specific enough, my fault.
Getting hesitant to ask anything due to the remarks.

Grumpy - all sarcasm aside, your friend would benefit from having an example image posted here along with a description of the problem observed. The problem likely is not caused by a feature of modern DSLRs found in all the major brands (Auto ISO). Like nearly all problems with complex cameras like the D610 and D750, the user is the issue and they just need some help on their technique. We can't come to your friend to observe and provide direct coaching. But, the root cause will many times be obvious in the EXIF data of the images they create when this problem occurs. Be sure to store the original so we can download the file.

I don't think you have enough facts.
There should be NO correlation between A-iso and focus.
Perhaps to keep the ISO low, the camera is dropping the SS lower and she gets a bit of blur. When she sets her own ISO, at what is it set? Maybe, she has it set manually a bit higher it allows a higher SS, thus eliminating blur???
All purely guesses!!
