The fishermen apparently use the racks for drying fish, but I'm guessing. The shacks may be for boats and fishing gear.
This scene was found along the bay front at Harstad (Norway). Harstad is located on Hinnøya Island.
Reminds me of Blue Rocks in Nova Scotia. Nice shot.
I want to go there so bad (bucket list), and you have made my graving stronger. I see you are a transplant to AL. Our youngest so lives in Alabaster, AL.
Whatever they are, that's a nice photo.

Norway is an interesting country to visit. I've only visited Harstad, Oslo, Bergen, Tromso, and took the tour that Rick Steves calls "Norway in a Nutshell". The latter is a must. (You can do it on your own, no guide needed. Just buy a ticket at the rail station.)
I live about 1.5 hrs south of Alabaster, AL.

Thanks, Jay, for commenting. I made several visits to Norway on business. People were always friendly.
Thanks for the info on Norway. My son teaches in the Thompson School district, teaching those 'at risk." All of his students are autistic. He is also a wrestling coach and has a huge club there.

Hats off to your son. Not many people could do that job, or want to.
Yes, he quit a much higher paying job to do this. He has a special gift when it comes to helping and teaching youth of all kinds.

Thanks for the confirmation. The racks you posted are far larger than the ones I saw.
I liked my (business) trips to Norway. The Norwegians would visit us, and we'd visit them.
I found Norwegians friendly, the views beautiful, and the food excellent. I even ate whale once!
