One of those times when I had my Nikkor Micro 55mm f/2.8 on my D7100.....this time at CBG...Chicago Botanic Gardens. The one shot I titled "EYE TEST", it's the lattice work on back side walkway of the rose garden. The water lilies, the pads look like they are metallic in the monochrome version, and every light point reflection on the water is a fourteen point star.
An interesting set of photos. I especially like the first one with all of the lattice work. The light and shadows are really nice in that one.

I would have preferred these in color. I don't see where black and white helped these. That said, I do like them.
I love the second and third photos. I think color, in both photos, would have been distracting. Buts that's my taste in photos

Never even considered shooting flowers in B&W, but your images have made me think about trying it out. Very nicely done - sharp and interesting.
