If so - what do you use most often?
On aps-c and full frame (Pentax) I am using a Kiron macro rather often, a beutiful lens, and on Pentax 645Z I use Pentax 120 mm macro, but not very often.
I use both a 40mm Nikon Micro Nikkor and a 185mm Sigma f3.5 macro .
Nikon 105 macro...or my brand new Nikon fisheye lens which incidentally shoots macro as well...

That's odd. NikonUsa doesn't list a fisheye macro on their website. The shortest they list is a 40mm.
Sorry your wrong, The brand New Nikon AF-S Fisheye NIKKOR 8-15mm, is capable of shooting in macro, I should know!!.i own it and have done some macro shots with it.......it truly is a remarkable lens.....
just a simple sample shot......
Is this the lens you are talking about?
Nikon AF DX Fisheye-NIKKOR 10.5mm f/2.8G ED Lens
Minimum Focus Distance 5.51" (14 cm)
Magnification 0.20x
Maximum Reproduction Ratio 1:5
This is not a 1:1 macro but should do well as a close focus lens. I have the full frame 16 mm fisheye and use it often as a close focus lens which gives you great depth of field.

I use a Tamron 180--the older one, never ( almost never) comes off my D810. I am always disappointed when I try to use another lens, Guess I do not think beyond macro!
actually, I would love a dedicated 300 macro lens
No, I"m talking about Nikon newest zoom fisheye.....

You can get a much closer image with a smartphone or a tablet...
I believe the definition of Macro is at least a 1:1 reproduction ratio...which this is not.

Have both 50 and 100, 100 gets more use, thinking of adding a 180 or 200.

I have a 30mm f/2.8 Panasonic Lumix macro lens on my GH4. I use it as I would have used a 55mm f/2.8 Micro Nikkor on my old Nikon F3... back in the film days. It has a 60mm "full frame equivalent field of view."
The lens is quite sharp. I have used it to copy old 35mm slides and negatives to raw digital files, and my son has used it for a Lego animation cartoon that got him a $500 scholarship from the College Board. We've also used it for a lot of flat art copy work, and for close-ups of processes used in training manuals and videos.
