Hi 'haroldross'... --- Since you have both the '50' and '60' can you tell me if there is a significant reduction in the '60' Image-Quality (as was claimed by some HOGS); -- -- Another Ques.: Does the Pop-up Flash of the '60' have a wider expanse (to handle the 21mm Wide-end); I like to take pictures of guests at Weddings, while they're seated at the round tables for Ten; I have the wives seated, with husbands standing behind them; ...but because the tables are SO close together{at some Events}, I'm forced to be as close as the opposite side of the Round table (i.e. 6' to 8' away from guests). SOOO, Harold, will the Flash be BOTH wide enough AND/OR bright enough to appropriately illuminate ALL the faces.???

From my experience, the image quality is better on the SX50 especially at the high end of the tele. The SX60 has the advantage of a better viewfinder and better IS.

The pop-up flash on these cameras are so-so. You would be expecting quite a bit to get good results especially at the wide-end. The flash just does not have the output power to do much. Without knowing the specific lighting conditions, there is no way to give you a definative answer.

These cameras are great under the right lighting conditions- not good in most low light conditions.
