Compose your email and simply attach a previously exported file ...

I'm not having that problem. Sorry you are. One thing I do other than direct email is create a folder on the desk to name it LR Email. Then export images I want to email to that folder. The. Simply drag the images into the email or up load to FB or frankly UHH.

Used to send them from Lightroom all the time. Then, after an update, they wouldn't send anymore. No amount of validating etc would fix it. That was almost a year ago. Now I simply export the photo to my hard drive and then attach it to the email. Too bad because the right click out of Lightroom was very convenient

We can't see what options you have or have not selected. Try a screen capture of your settings and/or error message.

Lightroom can be a bit picky about email programs so first make sure yours in on the list and that you have the latest versions of the OS, Lightroom and your email. Also, you will need to tell Lightroom which email program you want to use and provide some details about your account. Hope this helps. Best of luck.

If it isn't to much trouble I'd like to know how you fixed the problem of not being able to send e-mail in lightroom,I'm having the same problem myself.

Try exporting your pic to your desktop and then you can attach it to your email from the desktop. If I am email just a few pictures this is how I do it. If you have many that you need to export, do not do it this way.

This is how I email an attached image. First, export a copy of the image with LR adjustments to your desktop or convenient location/folder
1. Open up your email program - I use Gmail.
2. Address and compose the email
3. click on the attachment button
4. now navigate to the location of the image
5. click on the image
6 it should now be attached to the email
7.send the email.

Thanks ....Mark
