For years, I used the excellent CloneDVD to copy disks. It was fast and effective and cost about $30. They went out of business and RedFox took over, and it now costs almost $100, and I have no idea if it works as well as the original program, or if they used the name an interface with new software.
My son makes a lot of videos, and he has to make multiple copies of DVDs. Working on this last night, it was taking up to an hour to copy one disk with the top-rated DVD-Cloner 2017. I can't keep buying one program after another to see which one actually works, so I'm asking if any of you have a good program that will copy a movie - made with PowerDirector - onto a DVD quickly, like 15 min or less after the initial copy is made.

Thanks. I'll take a look. I downloaded the trial versions of CloneDVD, but they are expensive.

I have a program from AShampoo, got it from 'Give Away of the Day', works and is free, my main use is to convert to a file on a flash drive for traveling, should do the job, price is right.
Jerry,
I have used NCH software for quite a while. It seems to be very efficient and fast. It's free as long as you verify that it will be used for home/private use.
It may be worth a try.

http://www.nch.com.au/burn/index.htmlRight. I had forgotten about that. I had several of their programs, some I bought. After a while, they wanted my key number, but it wasn't accepted, and eventually the programs gradually stopped working.
Now I have a new roadblock. I'm simply trying to burn some files to a disk. Windows isn't cooperating. That might become a separate plea for help.
Sorry to hear that. Seems strange and I'm sure, very frustrating.
I had similar problems with NCH. Before I replied to you, I downloaded and executed the program. It seems fine.

After I drag the files over, I sometimes get the Manage > Burn to disc choice in the top menu, but sometimes I don't. I'll keep playing with it.
I seem to recall that happening to me. Instead of dragging, I navigate to the files and select the ones I want to burn/copy.

After making the same moves for a dozen or more times, "Manage" appeared, and I was able to copy the files.
Weird!! Glad it worked for you. Now you may have time to do other things such as eat, sleep and maybe even shoot some images.

Thanks! I knew there was something I wanted to do, but it wasn't on my list.
Have you tried xcopy (a leftover from the DOS days); still works on Win7, don't know with win10 though...

Thanks. I've been using DVD-Cloner 2017 and CloneDVD (free trial). If one gets stuck, the other sometimes works. I'll look at XCopy.
