Melanistic spider. This one dark, without color, except for part of two leg segments and bristles that are white. Appears to be genus Neoscona, probably N. crucifera. the spider is resting on a web-worm web.
Melanism in spiders is not unknown, but I have found no reference to melanism in this species.
