How do I find the shutter count of my Nikon D200 and D2X, I use them both a fair bit. Just kinda curious, and what would I expect to get out of them.
Thanks in advance for you help.

Here is a link to the most complete EXIF data reader I have ever found. Use the freeware version, it won't let you edit EXIF data but its great for reading it:

You can also get Exiftool (free) and Irfanview with plug-ins, also free

Here are charts showing shutter failure. Testing is one thing, but real world experience is another. Even if the shutter fails, it can be repaired for a reasonable cost.

Here are some links that might not have been mentioned yet.

*Get Irfanview (free) and also get the plug-ins for it. Start the program, open a photo, click on Image > Information > Exif info.
*Get ExifInfo - also free. Unzip and get the icon onto the Desktop. Find a photo and drag it onto the icon. A window will open with loads of info. Look down the list for Shutter Count (or whatever they call it).

I downloaded this free version but havent seen where it tells me how many times my shutter has been triggered? Maybe I am overlooking something.

I couldn't see a shutter count, either. Try another one.
