I have been trying to get some good shots of my hummingbirds. Can you tell me what settings you use?

Why certainly....
These were taken with my Nikon d7100, 55-200mm lens...set at 200 mm which makes it 300mm on my camera...
hand held...
I used shutter priority at 1/1250 sec which also gave an F/8 with an iso of 800...
Also I was sitting about 15 ft from where the hummers are ....
Hope this helps.... I don't know how many Hummer photos I have taken (a lot) and these are probably my best ones to date..
Practice practice practice.....oh... and then practice some more.....
Tom
Oh and I got the nice background because my neighbors trees are just the right distance away
Very nice shots, Tom! These little guys are so funny to watch. I love the position in the third shot.
Nice shots, Tom, of such beautiful little garden jewels!!

Nice captures, but a bit over exposed. And why all the noise. ISO 800 should be giving better results. How far away were you, i.e., how much crop to get these tight images. If it is a big crop, try getting closer. If you are quite and low and you are using a feeder, they still will come close.
