Yes, and it's has been going on for quite a while. I should have just bought a completed neck and fretboard. Instead, I got a 3" block of mahogany and cut the neck out of that. Then I had to shape the fretboard, drill holes and insert the dots, and install all the frets. I hope to glue the fretboard to the neck tomorrow. Of course, the joy is in the building, so I'm in no rush to finish it.
